| According to Nick Farago, these cards were sanctioned by Disney to be sold outside of the Park. An indication of this would be the image of the American bald eagle in the stamp box. There are an unknown number of cards in this series as these cards do not appear in The Nickel Tour. However, these images may appear throughout the book with different numbers but not as DLs. Several DL cards do exist in The Nickel Tour in the "More Miscellaneous Cards" section, Cards #1148 thru #1184, but I've come across quite a few more and decided to give those that do not a section of their own. Some of these cards also appeared in booklets containing eight 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" cards you could keep and eight 3-1/2" by 5-1/2" you could mail. Booklets DL-1200 A-H and DL-1202 A-H are known to exist. |
