About the Site

The purpose of the site is not to re-create what Bruce Gordon and David Mumford have done with the book The Nickel Tour, but to list - to the best of my ability - what postcards exist using my collection as a reference point. If you're not familiar with the book The Nickel Tour by Bruce and David, you might want to check it out.

This is a work in progress as I have been collecting Disneyland postcards since 1998 and presently have over 2000 cards in my collection. Many of the cards have been acquired from postcard and paper shows and some from online auctions. As you can see there are numerous “holes” in my collection and I’m always on the lookout for that one particular elusive card. If you have a "spare", let me know at the address below; I might just have a "duplicate" you're looking for.

All images shown on this site are actual scans of cards in my possession; none of the images were copied or borrowed from any other source. The images are direct scans of the fronts and backs of the cards and have not been altered or retouched. Instead of just posting images of the cards I'll also try to describe each card to the best of my knowledge.

You will notice two numbers under the thumbnail image; the first number starting with NT: is the number given to the card by The Nickel Tour. The next number is the number found on the back of the card, usually in or near the stamp box.

And finally, special thanks to Nick Farago and Roger Le Roque for A Complete Checklist and Historical Guide, to the late Bruce Gordon and David Mumford for The Nickel Tour and to Susan Ferdig for her History of Disneyland Postcards newsletters which got me turned on to the different variations. This collection nor this site could exist without any of them.
